Description
I see that in QGIS 3 the function (Layer Properties > Labels) "Show all labels etc." is present both in the "Rendering" tab and in the "Automatic placement settings" (top right). Apparently this is a duplication, better get rid of it.

Actually it's just a wording issue - one applies only to the current layer, the other applies to all labels from every layer. The phrases should be tweaked for clarity.

Actually I double checked and the wording is quite explicit - one is for the current layer, the other states "for all layers". Might be a bad translation?

You are right, and the translation is correct. The window was just small enough to cover the relevant part.
Sorry about the noise.
