Description
I tried to open various projects (containing various combinations of PostGIS, kml, openlayers, WMS and tiff layers) and 2.8.9,2.14.4, 2.16 and master crash
e.g. `1455 Segmentation fault (core dumped)`
all versions built from source.
Not sure how to get more information.

it's definitely WMS layers causing this.

- Status changed from Open to Closed
This sounds very much like an issue in your build environment, not QGIS itself. I'd suggest asking on the dev list instead.
