Description
Using OS X 10.8.3 with latest nightly build from Dakota Cartographic. This is built with SpatiaLite version 4.
With SpatiaLite version 4 table, the tree shows the geometry field as tabular data, the info tab does not show geometry information and preview does not work. If the same database is converted to SpatiaLite ver. 3 using spatialite_convert, then this all works as expected. Drag and drop of a table with geometry into a version 4 database fails to properly create the geometry column (blank field name) and no geometry information in the metadata. Drag and drop to a SpatiaLite ver. 3 databases now works thanks to Juergen's fix cafc36 yesterday.
Sandro Furieri discussed a fix to this issue in a May 22 email to the developer list, but it has never been implemented.
