Description

I cannot edit any vector features in QGIS 3.4.4.

To recreate - load a Shapefile of GeoPackage or create a memory layer in QGIS (point, line or ploy). Toggle Editing, select the Vertex Tool, move cursor over the map canvas.

As soon as my mouse cursor moves over the map canvas a pop-up appears saying "Exception - Unknown Exception". The pop-up cannot be dismissed, it can only be dismissed if I move my mouse cursor outside the map canvas. Also, turning off Render (lower right) does not remedy the problem. As a result, I cannot edit any vector features in QGIS. The issue also occurs with the Add Feature tool.

I just updated to Gdal 2.4.0-7 and the update fixed the error. This is not the first time where I have written a bug report or asked for help and an update fixed the issue moments after submitting my post.
