Description
Open the Style Manager dialog
Click the "Export/import symbols" button and select "export symbols"
Press "Select by group" and choose a group/tag to use
Press Close (btw, it should be better labeled OK)
On my windows computer, selection are barely visible. While a direct selection with mouse highlights the item in blue, using the "select by group" option adds a gray light background only on labels.
You then wonder if any item has been selected... (at least, it's hard to identify which item is being selected)

Does this function actually work at all for you now?
For me in 3.6 on Windows it doesn't select anything (the export button stays disabled).

But the export items dialog is really completely unnecessary - it would be better to just make the "Export Items" dialog export whatever is selected in the main style manager window.

Also, the right-click menu allows to export to png/svg, so to be consistent it should allow to export to xml too.
