This should improve overall usability of the result viewer.

In my opinion we really need to rethink the result panel and history dialog. I think these could be combined into a single, filterable/sortable, universal 'history' panel, which logs all actions (not just processing executions) and allows flexible results handling. I'm thinking here that thinks like exporting an atlas or saving a map as an image should also appear in the history/result list and allow easy access to these results too. I also think the full execution log for processing operations should be accessible here too (including any encountered errors).
So instead of investing time in the current implementation, I'd strongly encourage us to take a 'step back' here and work on a QEP covering a flexible design for future use.
