Description
The ability to have a continuous color scales for vectors seems to have been removed in recent versions. If it is still present, the online documentation http://docs.qgis.org/2.18/en/docs/gentle_gis_introduction/vector_attribute_data.html#continuous-colour-symbols should be updated to include the procedure for using it; it currently features some very old screenshots and outdated procedures. If it has been removed, why? Can it be restored?
