Description
Debian self compiled master here. Starting up with it's own config path (--configpath) I had troubles adding newly created Geoserver WMS layers (http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/WMS-provider-Cannot-calculate-extent-td5250516.html and #13762) and tried to fiddle with the cache directory.
After setting it, the layer immidiatly loaded ???
But after a qgis restart, the cache directory was not saved (empty 'Directory' input, see screenshot).
BUT I can load the wms layer again.
Adding a new layer I had the same problem..
As said, I think this maybe has something todo with #13762

That build doesn't yet include the fix. You'll need to wait for a newer build.
