Description
Hi, I just figured out that "Map tips" status in not saved anywhere, so that it is always disabled on startup.
Saving previous status would help using it more, and that could help adminstrator to set it ON on default configurations for users.

Hello, bug triage...
this is fixed in QGIS 2.13 master (and probably in previous versions): the setting showTips is stored in the standard QGIS configuration.
I am closing this feature request...
