Does it happens only when using flatpack (so does not crash when installing from repo, for example)?

Ubuntu 16.04 machine (NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030):
flatpack -> Crash
repo (ppa) -> not available (as the qt version is too old (I believe))
Ubuntu 18.04 machine (NVIDIA GeForce GT 1050):
flatpack -> 3D view works
repo (ppa) -> 3D view works
