Is the problem onlly when double clicking the thq qgz files, or also if you drag and drop them over an open qgis 3.2 window?

after install, QGZ files are not recognized by windows. And I can select a program, and when I select qgis.bat, it still does not work. Even when I select Qgis 3.2.exe as default program, qgis will start, but without the layers in de QGZ file!

does it work if you drag and drop the qgz file inside an open qgis 3.2 instance?

Hang on - not fully yet. Just noticed that QGIS doesn't handle .qgz on the command line at all - so this isn't a pure windows issue as I thought. The fix just spawns QGIS when you click on a compressed project, but will still ignore it.
