While opening a new simple PostGRES/PostGIS layer in Windows 10 / QGIS 3.0.0, the following error report was generated:

QGIS 3.0 crashes when loading a postgis layer for me also under Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS.
However it's not all postgis layers - will research some more
I don't know how to do a stack trace under these circumstances.
