Description
Minor request, but it would be nice if selected features could be moved to the mouse pointer on double-click. It seems the only way to move now is by click, then drag, then click, then drag.

are you talking about the move feature tool?
The minimum is one click to enable moving, move the object, click to place.
I don't think we can do less.

Yes, but I'm not requesting a change to the existing method to move an object. I'm requesting to add an additional way to do it.
For example, let's say I have one (or more) point feature that needs to be moved some great distance to a very specific locality. The existing method of moving that point is really prohibitive. However, if I could zoom to the needed locality confirming it is correct and simply double-click to move all selected points there, boom, done. No zooming in/out, no dragging a million times, no closing dialog warnings because the point is out of view, etc.
This method of moving objects could easily work in addition to the existing method and doesn't seem like it would cause issues, while greatly simplifying a fairly common GIS task.
