Description
SLD version 1.0 didn't have support for referencing a symbol from a font
geoserver proposed a vendor convention to reference a font like this
<Rule>
<Name>Gelders Genootschap, Gelders Arcadi0</Name>
<PointSymbolizer>
<Graphic>
<Mark>
<WellKnownName>ttf://Arial#0x23</WellKnownName>
<Fill><CssParameter name="fill">#000000</CssParameter></Fill>
</Mark>
<Opacity>1</Opacity>
<Size>18</Size>
</Graphic>
</PointSymbolizer>
</Rule>
QGIS uses 1.1 by default, which does have support for this
however if you import an sld version 1.0 with above font reference, qgis doesn't recognise the font/symbol
I propose to extend the SLD 1.0 reader to support the geoserver vendor option
Recent versions of Geoserver support SLD 1.1, however 1.0 is still quite common in that community
