Give better feedback to user when multiple records are updated via, for example, Update Selected in Attribute Table

Description
The kind of thing I'm thinking is after records are updated...
- Flash cells that have changed in the Attribute Table, say 5 seconds or something.
- Flash geometries on the main map (like the already existing "Flash feature"), say 5 seconds or something.
- Display in the main window an updated status message.
- Display in the Attribute Table some status message (in title bar?) indicating how many records were last updated.
Basically just better feedback to the user that the changes intended were actually the changes that happened.
