Sharing QGIS development costs

there are already discussions and plans about sharing development costs for QGIS features behind the scenes. We would like to make this process more transparent and visible for the community. Aim is that QGIS users get an overview and the chance to promote/support developments by sharing the costs.

This page provides a list of development ideas that need (additional) funding to be implemented. We want to keep it simple and promote the contacts between developers and users. For any ideas or complaints, please contact the Project Steering Committee.

A few examples:
  • fix Globe plugin and make it available in major operating systems
  • write unit tests to cover all major core functions
  • renting a server to run Radim's benchmarks
