Das erste deutsche QGIS Anwendertreffen hat die folgenden Ziele:

  • Austausch unter QGIS Anwendern und Networking
  • Kontakt zwischen Anwendern und Entwicklern
  • Präsentation der Möglichkeiten von QGIS (v.a. für neue, interessierte Anwender)
  • Vorstellung der neuen Features in der aktuellen Entwickler-Version
  • Koordination zukünftiger Entwicklungen

Wir laden potentielle Referenten ein Präsentationen zu den folgenden Themen einzureichen:

  • QGIS Anwenderberichte (interessante Einsätze von QGIS)
  • Wie funktioniert QGIS: Open Source, das Entwicklungsmodell, die QGIS Gemeinschaft (Stichworte Projekt versus Produkt, Supportmöglichkeiten, etc.)
  • Neue Entwicklungen in QGIS
  • Interessante Plugins (Erweiterungen) von QGIS
  • Vergleiche zwischen QGIS und anderen GIS (OS und kommerziell)
  • Erfahrungen und Hürden bei der Einführung von QGIS und wie diese gemeistert wurden

Der Eintritt zum Anwendertreffen ist frei. Leider kann deswegen auch kein Beitrag an die Referenten ausbezahlt werden. Die Anreise-, Übernachtungs- und Restaurationskosten sind daher von den Referenten und -teilnehmern zu tragen.

Die Dauer eines Beitrages ist 30 Minuten (inklusive Diskussionen und Wechsel zum nächsten Redner). Die Präsentationssprache ist deutsch, in Ausnahmefällen kann auch auf Englisch refereriert werden. Videoprojektor und Internetzugang über WLAN (Uni Bern) stehen zur Verfügung.

Es finden am Vormittag und Nachmittag Kaffeepausen statt. Das Mittagessen wird am gleichen Ort im Restaurant Mappamondo eingenommen.

Potentielle Beiträge sollen bis 31. Januar mit einer Kurzbeschreibung (1-3 Absätze) im PDF, HTML oder Plain-Text Format an qgismeeting (at) gmail dot com geschickt werden.

English Version

The first german-speaking QGIS User meeting has the following goals:

  • Exchange between QGIS users (Networking)
  • Contact and exchange between users and developers
  • Presentation of QGIS Features and Possibilities (esp. for new, interested users)
  • Presentation of the new features in the most recent version and in the developer version
  • Coordination of upcoming developments

We invite interested presenters to submit short abstracts regarding the following topics:

  • QGIS case studies
  • How does QGIS work: Open Source philosophy, the development model, the QGIS community, project vs. product, support options, etc.
  • New developments in QGIS
  • Interesting plugins/extensions
  • Comparisons between QGIS and other GIS (both OS and commercial)
  • Lessions learnt during the introduction of QGIS in organizations: problems and how they could be solved

The user meeting is free of charge. As a consequence we cannot offer to renumerate presenters. Travel and accomodation costs, as well as lunch and coffee breaks are to be covered by the user meeting attendees.

The length of one presentation is 30 minutes (including discussion and change to the next presenter). The presentation language is german or english. Video pojectors and Wireless Internet connection will be available.

During the morning and afternoon, there will be coffee breaks. Lunch will be served at the same venue, the restaurant Mappamondo. Menu choices will be provided.

Potential presentation abstracts should be sent until January 31 (1-3 paragraphs of text describing the content). Please send the abstract in either PDF, HTML or plain-text format to qgismeeting (at) gmail dot com
