13 QGIS Developer Meeting in Nødebo (Copenhagen) 2015 Monday 18 th - Friday 22 th May 2015

At the meeting in Essen, there was a question about the possibility to have a small conference too.
So we are going to have a User/developer/educator conference on Monday 18 th - Tuesday 19 th.

Accommodation can be arranged by the University of Copenhagen.
At the Forestry there are 25 double rooms for 50 persons and shelters :-) for 20.
Access to the rooms/shelters from Saturday 16. May to Sunday 24. May.

There are a nearby youthhostel in Fredensborg http://www.fredensborghostel.dk/ and Hillerød http://hillerodhostel.dk/ We have minibusses for shuttel between the hostel and the Forestry College.

Individual Preparation

  • Bring your own computer (and power supply!). Better with a power bar, compatible plug and long cable, and ethernet cable (we'll provide wifi, but better you have a cable, too).
  • Install git and the compiler tools, and come with a working QGIS development environment if possible.

Fun Run/Walk

If you are interested in a 5k walk/run, please add your name and t-shirt size here (I will try and sort out QGIS t-shirt if the list gets finalised in-time). The proposed date is 20/05 at 7:00 am. The route will be decided when we are there. If you have any suggestion, please add it here.

  • Is the QGIS Hackfest just a coding event?
    • It is mainly a coding and documentation event. It is a working session for people who are already participants in the QGIS project and/or are committed to improving the QGIS project.
    • On demand we can do some presentations of current working qgis implementation and new upcoming features to spread the idea of openGIS software
  • Is the QGIS Hackfest for developers only?
    • No: anybody can help, with testing, checking out bugs and fixes, documentation and more.
  • Where can I get help and more information about the hackfest?
