Redmine Bug report #16282 (Open): Browser drag and drop issues https://issues.qgis.org/issues/162822017-03-04T13:22:22ZR. R.inactive@the-moment.org

The drag and drop function suffers from some severe issues. When copying a PostGIS table the name of the PK column is ignored and default values get lost. Decimal data types are converted to float8.
Bug report #15943 (Open): Hillshade renderer artifactshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/159432016-12-06T11:22:41ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

Borders of cells are visible. See attached.
Possibly more apparent in master, but present since the beginning.
Bug report #15874 (Open): Tables with SRID=0 appear twice in the Browserhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/158742016-11-21T22:03:42ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

A table created with SRID=0:

CREATE TABLE pt
(id INTEGER, name text, geom GEOMETRY(Point,0,2));
INSERT INTO pt (id, name, geom)
VALUES (1, 'Origin', ST_GeomFromText('POINT(0 0)', 0));

results in two entries: one with mouseover= geom as Point in 0 and one geom as Point in -2147483648
Bug report #14013 (Open): DB Manager: commit on versioned layers failshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/140132015-12-18T21:25:13ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

Currently the commit to the DB fails for versioned layers, because the original ID (which is not NULLable) is not filled (it must be done by hand, which is not nice). Presumably a function to copy the ID from the original one (for updates), or adding a new one in case of inserts, should be added.
Bug report #11896 (Open): Messy label backgroundshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/118962014-12-18T22:58:06ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

When using curved labels with a background, a separate background (e.g. a rectangle, svg) is drawn for each character, with rather ugly results. For better results the "size type" of the background must be set to "fixed" (and then give it the proper size), but this does not solve the issue.
Bug report #9828 (Open): WMS progress missinghttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/98282014-03-20T07:04:37ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

WMS downloading progress is no longer shown on the status bar. I think it is important to bring it back, or anyway give the user a clue on what is happening.
Bug report #9440 (Open): Do not show DB geometric columns in table viewhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/94402014-01-27T06:52:01ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it
When there is only one column in a database table, it is displayed on the canvas, and nothing is shown on the table itself.
If there is >1 geom column, all those not displayed in the canvas are shown on the table. This has several problems:

it is confusing for the user

it slows down table reading considerably

it may cause loss of data if the user accidentally modifies the WKT geometry displayed (untested).
Better not displaying any geometry column.

Bug report #9316 (Open): Topology errors detected by some checker, not from othershttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/93162014-01-10T02:53:29ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

The attached shp has a number of topological errors. The fTools checker (under manu Vector>Gemoetry tools) detects 34 of them, whereas the Topology checker plugin (now in core) fails to detect any.
Bug report #8737 (Open): QgsRasterTerrainAnalysisPlugin: check QgsRelief::processRaster() returne...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/87372013-10-01T05:21:07ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

QgsRasterTerrainAnalysisPlugin gives to QgsRelief layer URI as inputFile, QgsRelief simply opens it as GDAL file and it fails in case of WCS.
QgsRasterTerrainAnalysisPlugin does not check QgsRelief::processRaster() returned value and probably tries to add result as new layer, which fails and gives an error message.
Bug report #8669 (Open): Duplicate entry in ellipsoid selectorhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/86692013-09-25T04:58:17ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

In Project properties>General, the list of entries for ellipsoid has a duplicate entry: WGS 84 and WGS84, apparently with the same parameters
Bug report #7443 (Open): GPX and KML files should always be saved as EPSG:4326https://issues.qgis.org/issues/74432013-03-25T10:57:35ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

The user can choose the SRS for all layer in Save as...
This is wrong for GPX, that should always be in EPSG:4326.
Bug report #7146 (Open): DB manager does not remove Spatialite indexes and entry in "spatialite_h...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/71462013-02-11T05:32:58ZGiovanni Manghigiovanni.manghi@gmail.com

The same issue seems to affect also the browser.

Add a ector to a SL datasource, and select to create also a spatial index.

Then remove the vector from the datasource, the tables idx_tablename_geom* are not removed, as it isn't the entry in the table "spatialite_hystory", so it not possible to re-add another vector with the same name.
Bug report #6890 (Open): Strange index for PostGIS rastershttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/68902012-12-18T05:52:01ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

The indexes for all rasters are displayed in DB Manager as:

Name Column(s)
basin_toscana_rast_gist ??? (#0)
while:
\\d basin_toscana_rast_gist
Indice "public.basin_toscana_rast_gist"
Colonna | Tipo | Definizione
---------------+--------+---------------------
st_convexhull | box2df | st_convexhull(rast)
gist, per la tabella "public.basin_toscana"

Bug report #5232 (Open): "add direction symbol" does not work with curved labelshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/52322012-03-25T22:33:24ZGiovanni Manghigiovanni.manghi@gmail.com

Subject says it all. If I switch to "parallel", it shows fine. Tested on 1.7.4 and master.
Bug report #1796 (Open): Multi-line text in a SVG file is not drawn correctly in Print Composerhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/17962009-07-20T04:55:18Zcraigleat -craigleat@foo.bar

The attached file is an inkscape SVG containing an A2 titleblock. The multi-line text is drawn on a single line when the SVG is imported into Print Composer.
