The data type of the third argument of QgsVectorFileWriter is QgsFields [1], a container of fields. Suppose an entry (data type of entries is Qgsfield, see [2]) of this container has QVariant Type = QVariant.Int. Then, the type of corresponding field in the created attribute table will be QVariant.LongLong [3], instead of Integer.

Steps to reproduce:

Open Georeferencer

Open raster .tif image

Add some GCP points

In the options, choose Thin Plate Spline transformation and select an output destination

Click Start and when finished close Georeferencer

When asked, click Yes to save points in a file

Open again Georeferencer

The last image appears to be open, but with no control points

Click Start, it says there is no raster loaded

What happens:

When reopened, Georeferencer appears to remember the last image that was opened and displays it. However it doesn't remember GCP points and output destination. New control points can't be added. In order to Georeference it again, the image must be reopened.

What should happen:

Option 1: Close everything when Georeferencer is closed, reopen it empty like the first time it's opened

Option 2: Fully reopen image (not only displayed) and remember its GCP points and options

Bug report #18443 (Open): Data Source Manager | PostgreSQL doesn't clear selected layers in list ...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/184432018-03-14T18:38:38ZDavid Mancinidmancini@backroadmapbooks.com

Hi there,

Just wanted to submit a minor issue I've noticed in the QGIS 3.0 early adopters edition. When I go to add some layers from a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database, the layers I've selected don't clear after I click on Add and Close. I only noticed this when I went to add in some more layers, not realizing the originals were still selected. It adds the new selected item as well as the previously selected items if you fail to notice and deselect.

On the previous version 2.18, no selections were saved after this window closes, it started fresh each time it opens. Just a minor thing but thought it was worth mentioning for people who use a lot of PostgreSQL/PostGIS layers.

Keep up the great work QGIS!!!
Bug report #18386 (Open): delete multiple tables based on selection in QGis browser not possiblehttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/183862018-03-08T11:56:24Zlars Lingnerlars@lingner.eu

In the QGis data source browser tree I can easily see and add tables to the current project. In the context menu is the option "Add Selected Layer(s) to Canvas". There is also a entry "Delete Table" which only deletes one table regardless how many tables are actually selected.

I assumed I can also delete multiple tables in one go, but only the table with the name I clicked on gets deleted.

I'm unsure if this qualifies as bug, but the behavior is not consistent in my opinion. I would expect all selected items are used for the action I can pick from the context menu.

Within the QGis DB Manager I can't do a multi selection, so that is more consistent to me.

load a layer

add labelling > correct

go to either graduated or categorized style, and do not press the Classify button

the geometries disappear (not nce, but correct)

also the labels disappear, which I believe is unexpected.

Bug report #12679 (Open): atlas generation : output filename textbox with default expression afte...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/126792015-04-30T04:20:12ZHarrissou Santanna

Enable atlas generation in a print composer
set any options you want and erase the output filename expression.
While launching atlas export to something else than pdf single file, you get the error warning message The filename pattern is empty. A default one will be used.
If you click ok, the files are exported with the default expression but once all is finished, the filename text box remains empty. But it's not really empty beacause if you launch again the export, it'll be proceeded without warning message.

It'd be nice to fill the filename textbox with the default expression used when user click OK in the message box.
Bug report #12398 (Open): Wrong sort order in symbol sharinghttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/123982015-03-18T09:01:25ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it
When exporting or importing symbols from the Style manager, symbols are sorted according to type (lines, pints etc.). The order is however wrong:

points and fills are mixed up

points should go before lines

custom (user created) lines go mixed among points and fills

In the listing of tables, indices (MBR) are displayed as geometry tables; this is confusing, if possible better avoiding it
Bug report #7443 (Open): GPX and KML files should always be saved as EPSG:4326https://issues.qgis.org/issues/74432013-03-25T10:57:35ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

The user can choose the SRS for all layer in Save as...
This is wrong for GPX, that should always be in EPSG:4326.
Bug report #7050 (Open): Inconsistent use of stringshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/70502013-01-26T10:35:52ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

Several strings are used with different capitalization in the code, e.g.

Null Null NULL and NODATA NoData and nodata

"Horizontal and vertical" and "Horizontal and Vertical"

HTML, Html, and html

Better adhere to a standard (which?)
Bug report #3779 (Open): Symbols are incorrectly cropped in map canvas if rotatedhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/37792011-04-27T02:35:03ZAlister Hood

For a point layer, if I use a rectangle "simple symbol", and specify a rotation, the symbol is rotated in the map canvas, but it also has the corners cut off as if it has been cropped to fit in the area that it would have occupied if it was not rotated.

See attached screenshot (with a symbol dimension of 5m).

This problem does not seem to affect the composer, but note that it has its own bug with rotated symbols (#3778).
