Redmine Bug report #229 (Closed): Assignments used as truth value in qgsproject.cpphttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2292006-08-06T16:21:03ZMateusz Loskot -mateusz@loskot.net

I'm not sure what's the idea behind conditional statements in qgsproject.cpp file, in lines: 126, 204 and 274 where following comparisons are used:

}
else if ( nextProperty = currentProperty->find( keySequence.first() ) )
{

but for me this seems to be a bug.

Probably, this statement should look like:

}
else if (( nextProperty == currentProperty->find( keySequence.first() ) ))
{

or

}
else if ( 0 == (nextProperty = currentProperty->find( keySequence.first() ) ) )
{

Additional note, I see the code around those lines is mostly a copy-paste, may be it's reasonable to put it to a separate class or function.
Feature request #228 (Closed): [SVN] Set svn:ignore property on the repository fileshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2282006-08-06T14:47:21ZMateusz Loskot -mateusz@loskot.net

I'd like to ask for setting svn:ignore property on the non-versioned files and folders in the QGIS repository.
Here is my list of most important objects that I think should be excluded:

.deps
.libs
Makefile
Makefile.in
*moc.cpp
ui_*.h

Here is explanation: How to set svn:ignore property
Feature request #227 (Closed): Print CPPFLAGS and CXXFLAGS in configuration summaryhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2272006-08-06T14:34:13ZMateusz Loskot -mateusz@loskot.net

This is a tiny enhancement that prints compilation flag values in the configuration summary at the end of ./configure run. Here is sample output:

$ CXXFLAGS="-g -Wall -pedantic" ./configure

...
Python : no
CPPFLAGS :
CXXFLAGS : -g -Wall -pedantic
Debug : yes
...

I'd be thankful for accepting this small enhancement because I use various compilation flags quite often when building QGIS.
I included patch ready to apply.
Bug report #222 (Closed): GRASS plugin version string fixhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2222006-08-02T23:34:37Zanonymous -anonymous@foo.bar

Hi,

a trivial cosmetics fix attached... for consistency
in the plugin manager.

Markus
Bug report #217 (Closed): QGIS 0.8 fails to detect old automake versionhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2172006-08-01T03:22:13Zanonymous -anonymous@foo.bar

*Ubuntu distros have two automake versions - 1.4 and 1.9. If system is set to use olde one (as my Kubuntu per default), QGIS 0.8 (revision 5654) simply fails on ./autogen.sh call without any notice about too old automake version.
Bug report #216 (Closed): spit plugin needs GEOS headershttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2162006-07-31T07:36:09Zkyngchaos-kyngchaos-com -foo@foo.com

I have the various library dependencies isolated in separate folders. In building the spit plugin, it couldn't find geos.h. I added $(GEOS_CFLAGS) to spitplugin_la_CXXFLAGS in src/plugins/spit/makefile to get it to build.
Bug report #210 (Closed): xxxhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/2102006-07-27T23:47:38Zautasit-gamil-com -autasit@gamil.com

Today, I updated my QGIS sandbox and tried to do complete rebuild.
I got following error and compilation stopped:

Dear devs,

when I try to delete an Attribute in GRASS digitize-mode (from edit attribute-menu) I get a confirmation window with yes or no. The attribute will always be deleted also I I press 'no'.

AFAIK the delete process should be stoppe when hitting this button then.

Best
Stephan
Bug report #156 (Closed): saved QGIS-project does not recognize WMShttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/1562006-06-22T00:30:01Zholl-gdf-hannover-de -holl@gdf-hannover.de

Dear Devs,

saving a qgs.-project with WMS-layers inside cannot be opened again. The WMS-layers are not found anymore.

The project looks like this:
[...]
<maplayer minScale="0" maxScale="1e+08" scaleBasedVisibilityFlag="0" visible="1" type="raster" showInOverviewFlag="0" >

<datasource>http://wms.jpl.nasa.gov/wms.cgi?</datasource>
<layername>NASA Onearth</layername>
<coordinatetransform>
[...]

Is it possible to resume to a project with WMS-layers enabled?

cheers

Hi,

it would be great to receive comments on my
tickets - somehow they don't reach me.
Maybe an issue in
http://svn.qgis.org/trac/wiki/TracNotification
?
Bugzilla and RT do it nicely...

thanks
Markus
Feature request #125 (Closed): Polygon editing suggestionhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/1252006-05-23T08:17:47Zstargelman-chorrol-com -stargelman@chorrol.com

When creating a polygon, and that polygon exceeds a certain number of vertices, it would be great if clicking the right mouse button wouldn't instantly destroy the polygon/cancel the whole progress. Instead, a little menu could be shown with the options cancel, close and continue.

I was just creating a 1350+ point polygon and... my finger slipped... that was very frustrating ;(
Bug report #118 (Closed): WMS server support for 24bit png imageshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/1182006-05-15T19:38:26Zpcreso-pcreso-com -pcreso@pcreso.com

The GUI allows only jpg or png images from WMS servers. It should ideally allow the user to select any image format which the capabilities document says can be supplied. (In my particular case png;24bit is very useful)
Bug report #114 (Closed): labels not working for shapefileshttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/1142006-05-13T22:54:55ZSurge -Surge@foo.bar

Labels are not displayed for some ESRI shapefiles including ones created by ogr2ogr.
The fields and data are shown in the attribute table inside QGIS but they are not rendered with the features.
Data used : city shapefiles from ESRI World Base Map. (http://www.esri.com/data/download/basemap/index.html)

Even after stripping down the shapefile to just CITY_NAME with ogr2ogr QGIS would still not render the labels but is quite happy to show it to me in the attribute table.
This problem has been around for a couple of releases and is still in version 0.7.4
Bug report #109 (Closed): commiting features to OGR layers brokenhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/1092006-05-07T01:01:10ZMarco Hugentoblermarco.hugentobler@sourcepole.ch

Depending on the gdal version, qgis segfaults or doesn't commit newly added features to OGR layers.
