I want to join two separate feature's from a single shapefile. It can be done in Qgis with "Merge Selected Features" function, but i want to be done in Python Console.
Does anyone know how to do it?
Feature request #20143 (Closed): No mesh layer entry in layer menuhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/201432018-10-17T18:26:29ZSaber Razmjooeisaber.razmjooei@lutraconsulting.co.uk

In my view the option "Drop existing table" in the "Import vector layer" window (DB Manager) is somewhat misleading. "Replace existing table" would fit better.
Feature request #12358 (Closed): Snapping options: avoid intersections missinghttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/123582015-03-11T07:28:35ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

In the new simplified dialog for snapping options, the Avoid intersections checkbox is hidden, and can be selected only when using
the Advanced interface. This is a frequently used option, so it is often (almost always) necessary to use the Advanced interface.
It would probably be better to add it besides the Topological option.
Feature request #12020 (Closed): "Import Vector into PostGIS database" should also allow to impor...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/120202015-01-20T16:50:07ZOlivier Dalangolivier.dalang@gmail.com

Hi !

It would be great if the "Import Vector into PostGIS database" algorythm also allowed to import non-geometric tables !

Thanks !

Olivier
Feature request #11107 (Closed): Multiple Selection: Two areas for improvement. https://issues.qgis.org/issues/111072014-08-27T04:49:23ZMarc-André Saia

Hi,
1: In almost all the software out there, the "Shift" key is associated with multiple selection. In Qgis, it is also the case in the PrintComposer and in the browser. Why then should I use the "Ctrl" key? Result: When working with multiple software, is often chosen the wrong key. What can be frustrating not only in Qgis, but also in other software, because of the "bad habit" of the "Ctrl" key. Why not offer the choice of two settings: The Qgis mode with the "Ctrl" key and normalized with the "Shift" key mode?

2: Currently, when you want to add items to a previous selection, the select tool deselects items already selected in selection. It would be more convenient, with all modes of selection, except for the selection mode for single element, that additions to a selection does not deselect the pre-selected items. Again, why not offer to the user the mode Qgis original selection mode and normalized selection mode like in almost all software?
Feature request #11022 (Closed): Difficult to modify nodes of contiguous polygons https://issues.qgis.org/issues/110222014-08-07T22:05:45ZAlain FERRATON

It would be very usefull to have the possibility to add a field with shapefile filename in the "merge shapefile" vector tool.
editing is implemented, but we also want to add new items.
Feature request #1385 (Closed): "Field" Support for Print Composerhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/13852008-11-06T02:10:46ZAndreas Neumann

It would be useful to have "field" support in the print composer. Fields are variables and would be part of text labels in the print composer. The field value/content would be replaced when printing/previewing the map layout. Fields are common in text-processing.

Potential candidates for fields are:

current date, proposed fieldname: currentDate

current username (on an operating system level), proposed fieldname: currentUser

current project title, proposed fieldname: currentProjectTitle

current projection, proposed fieldname: currentProjection

current map units, proposed fieldname: currentMapUnits

Are there more useful field names in this context?

There would have to be delimiters who separate fieldnames from regular text, potential formats:

Generating from the values of some attributes present in the layer's database a graph to be displayed as a small icon near the point of interest.
See attachment for an example.
Feature request #361 (Closed): "Add as group" option for add data dialoghttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/3612006-10-25T14:43:37Zanonymous -anonymous@foo.bar

I had lot of large map tiles as separate files. I wanted to manage all of them as single layer. Groups are handy, but not when I need to manually create one, and manually add all of it's layers.

When I add more than one data source at once, I would like to have an option to add all of selected files to some new group, as moving around single files is not as usable as dealing with groups.
