Initial loading time of large PostgreSQL views (> 10 million records) seems to have increased considerably compared to QGis 2. After observing the db logs I noticed the sql queries for checking primary key unicity is one of the causes for this. From the API documentation I had the impression that this behaviour could be disabled by setting the property TrustLayerMetadata on the project to true (in the GUI under project properties). This did not make a difference when loading new PG layers.

So I tried setting the parameter checkPrimaryKeyUnicity to '0' in several ways (editing an exported layer definition file and through pyqgis) but it did not make a difference.
Seems that, in case of a postgres provider, the parameter checkPrimaryKeyUnicity set on the QgsDatasourecUri instance is changed depending on the layerOptions (more specific the readExtentFromXml option) specified on the QgsVectorLayer class. The parameter also seems to disappear in the uri string after loading into the canvas and/or saving as a layer definition file.

I always was impressed with the loading of postgis layers in QGis 2 but this has considerably changed in QGis 3. Is it posssible to include an option in the GUI somewhere to prevent the checks on primaryKeyUnicity or resolve this in another way?

best regards and keep up the good work,

I have a couple of issues when I try to export a Raster Layer into a GeoPackage format through export/Save as...

First, the message "The layer HYP already exists ......" (attached "SaveRasterLayer.jpg")

Second, I have this messages, the first one as CRITICAL, the second one as SUCCESSFUL (But in the Geopackage, the layer doesn´t exists)

Text of the issue in message console:

2018-12-19T15:06:29 CRITICAL Fuente de datos no admitida : GPKG:C:\Users...\CapasGeopackage.gpkg:HYP no es un origen de datos ráster admitido

Cannot find table 'HYP' in GeoPackage dataset
2018-12-19T15:06:29 SUCCESS Capa exportada : La capa ráster se ha guardado correctamente en C:\Users\...\CapasGeopackage.gpkg

There are one way to export it or store it into a GeoPackage but + without additional options+ (the "save as" dialog has the additional options), the way to do that is just drag the layer and add it into a GeoPackage connection in "Navigator" tab.
<ins>But I want to add some additional options.</ins>

Externally I tried the next code lines through GDAL console:

gdal_translate -co APPEND_SUBDATASET=YES -of GPKG /home/...../archivo.tif /home/.../geopackageDB.gpkg

And I'd gotten successful export process.

In qgsmapcanvas.cpp in QgsMapCanvas::setLayerSet a disconnect and connect call to selectionChanged signal are being made on the map layer set, but some of those layers can be raster layers. selectionChanged() is a signal that only vector layers can emit.

This bug causes warning messages to appear when calling setLayerSet via the python bindings with a layer set that contains rasters.

The solution is to wrap the disconnect and connect calls with logic to test if the layer is a vector layer.
Bug report #800 (Closed): 'Search' in on the fly projection dialogue missplacedhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/8002007-11-10T23:57:48ZMaciej Sieczka -tutey@o2.pl

Hi,

it appears that QGIS fails to recognize NAD83 / North Carolina LCC:

The reason will be that the EPSG definition in PROJ4 is this:

# NAD83(HARN) / North Carolina
<3358> +proj=lcc +lat_1=36.16666666666666 +lat_2=34.33333333333334 +lat_0=33.75 +lon_0=-79 +x_0=609601.22 +y_0=0 +ellps=GRS80 +units=m +no_defs <>

Note that the values of lat_1 and lat_2 are reverted. I was told by Frank W. that this is legal (to my shame I already submitted a bug report to EPSG). It would be good if QGIS accepted the reverted lat_1 and lat_2, too.

0.8 SVN 6453

Please update all the occurences of "Field" term in relation to GRASS vectors to "Layer". These are two same things, but Field has been replaced by Layer many months ago in GRASS.

Things to update are, AFAIK:

1. GRASS Edit's attribute editor still mentions "Field"

2. GRASS Edit's "Table" tab mentions "Field (layer)"
