Attached is a sample data set to illustrate the problem. This was broken off as a separate issue from #17878.

To create the issue load test.gpkg into QGIS. Open the Attribute Table. The attribute table should look something like 'attribute_table_before.jpg'. Now click on the "Toggle Editing" toolbar icon and then click on the "Add Point Feature" icon. Now click anywhere on the map canvas to add a feature. For 'label' I called it test and left 'latitude' and 'longitude' as NULL. The net results is that this new data is added to line 6 with 'Autogenerate' as the fid (which is probably now what it should do), but the big problem is that Row 1 data becomes corrupted in the fields 'latitude' and 'longitude'. It looks like these fields were truncated to two decimal places. Adding a new feature should not affect row 1 at all. See 'bad_data.jpg' for what happens.
Bug report #17472 (Closed): Clicking the "In Project" checkbox in Bookmarks panel corrupts the bo...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/174722017-11-15T16:40:06ZHarrissou Santanna

see the attached image.
I ended up with this by clicking the ckeckbox in the "In Project" column from the bookmarks panel. Each time i checked a bookmark, the row became blank (all values cleared). Then I restart QGIS and I got many rows populated with 0; it looks like the bookmarks I checked are back but they lost their SRID (set to 0 - which is a common issue with checking "In Project" in 2.18).
This makes the button unusable.
Bug report #17403 (Closed): Authentication DB is not migrated from 2 to 3https://issues.qgis.org/issues/174032017-11-06T10:00:09ZAlessandro Pasotti

The functionality seems ok is the original layer is a PostGIS one, for example.

If it is a WFS-T and the edits made off-line are simple (like just adding a polygon) then the synchronization back seems also ok.

On the other end if edit in the off-line layer are more complex (like moving 1 feature + adding 1 feature + removing 1 feature + 1 editing one feature geometry) then the synchronization seems to produce very bad effects, like data loss (the edited features disappear) and also features duplication (the feature being moved).

The attached video probably is more clear > https://www.dropbox.com/s/ch2zyqefjrzlb2c/Recording%20%231.mp4?dl=0

Proxy settings are ignored when trying to add a vector layer that is on the web, ie:

http://geonb.snb.ca/ArcGIS/rest/services/GeoNB_ENV_Flood/MapServer/3/query?text=0&geometry=&geometryType=esriGeometryEnvelope&inSR=&spatialRel=esriSpatialRelIntersects&where=&returnGeometry=true&outSR=&outFields=&f=pjson

If I use a direct connection to the internet, this works fine. But I've watched my proxy server while trying with the proxy settings, and I've seen no activity by QGIS.

The settings work fine for getting/using plugins. Just not for this...
Bug report #811 (Closed): selectionChanged() SIGNAL getting connected and disconnected on raster ...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/8112007-11-15T10:38:26ZAaron Racicot -aaronr@z-pulley.com

In qgsmapcanvas.cpp in QgsMapCanvas::setLayerSet a disconnect and connect call to selectionChanged signal are being made on the map layer set, but some of those layers can be raster layers. selectionChanged() is a signal that only vector layers can emit.

This bug causes warning messages to appear when calling setLayerSet via the python bindings with a layer set that contains rasters.

The solution is to wrap the disconnect and connect calls with logic to test if the layer is a vector layer.
Bug report #800 (Closed): 'Search' in on the fly projection dialogue missplacedhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/8002007-11-10T23:57:48ZMaciej Sieczka -tutey@o2.pl

Hi,

it appears that QGIS fails to recognize NAD83 / North Carolina LCC:

Warning: [[QgsSpatialRefSys]]::getRecord failed : select * from tbl_srs where parameters='+proj=lcc +lat_1=34.33333333333334 +lat_2=36.16666666666666 +lat_0=33.75 +lon_0=-79 +x_0=609601.22 +y_0=0 +ellps=GRS80 +datum=NAD83 +units=m +no_defs'

The reason will be that the EPSG definition in PROJ4 is this:

# NAD83(HARN) / North Carolina
<3358> +proj=lcc +lat_1=36.16666666666666 +lat_2=34.33333333333334 +lat_0=33.75 +lon_0=-79 +x_0=609601.22 +y_0=0 +ellps=GRS80 +units=m +no_defs <>

Note that the values of lat_1 and lat_2 are reverted. I was told by Frank W. that this is legal (to my shame I already submitted a bug report to EPSG). It would be good if QGIS accepted the reverted lat_1 and lat_2, too.

This is not necessary, and happens to be diturbing - I have to re-collapse the layer each time I change it's transparency percentage, or any other property.

Maciek
Bug report #556 (Closed): Field should be Layer in GRASS lingohttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/5562007-01-30T00:47:07ZRedmine Admin

0.8 SVN 6453

Please update all the occurences of "Field" term in relation to GRASS vectors to "Layer". These are two same things, but Field has been replaced by Layer many months ago in GRASS.

Things to update are, AFAIK:

1. GRASS Edit's attribute editor still mentions "Field"

2. GRASS Edit's "Table" tab mentions "Field (layer)"
