It looks like the wildcard facility will be reinstated in Qt 4.2.0 (<br /><a class="external" href="http://www.trolltech.com/developer/task-tracker/index_html?method=entry&id=106069">http://www.trolltech.com/developer/task-tracker/index_html?method=entry&id=106069</a>.
