<ul><li><strong>Resolution</strong> set to <i>invalid</i></li><li><strong>Status</strong> changed from <i>Open</i> to <i>Closed</i></li></ul><p>This is expected behaviour. A couple of things to note:</p>
<p>1. Map content in composer only updates when you click the "refresh" button (on either the toolbar or an individual map item's properties panel). That's why it looks like the first map has kept the original layer.</p>
<p>2. To actually LOCK the layers for a map, you need to setup your main map canvas as desired, then click the "Lock layers for map item" checkbox under the composer map item properties panel.</p>
