I work with several map views at the same time. When I try to modify the scale factor, or any of the options of the attached canvases, QGIS goes in crash. Sometimes, it signals an error, sometimes not, and it closes without warning anything.
It happens both in 3.4.5 that 3.6
It happens in 2 computers, with the same windows 10 64 bit v 1809.
Both with the OPEN_CL activated, and deactivated.

In QGIS 3.4.3 our vulnerability scanner identified an very critical issue with "C:\Program Files\QGIS 3.4\bin\psql.exe" from the component PostgreSQL 9.2.4.13228.
In QGIS 3.4, 3.6 r.series is broken in Processing due to wrong "range=0,0" pre-definition. It should be empty but is pre-populated with 0,0.

That leads to an empty result (basically a NO DATA raster map):

[...]
g.proj -c proj4="+proj=lcc +lat_1=36.16666666666666 +lat_2=34.33333333333334 +lat_0=33.75 +lon_0=-79 +x_0=609601.22 +y_0=0 +ellps=GRS80 +towgs84=0,0,0,0,0,0,0 +units=m +no_defs"
r.external input="/home/mneteler/lsat7_2000.tif" band=1 output="rast_5c7bdac0189302" --overwrite -o
g.region n=228513.0 s=214975.5 e=645012.0 w=629992.5 res=28.5
r.series input=rast_5c7bdac0189302 method="average" range="0,0" output=output28566faed0e94fdaa03a9cfb57fb94a9 --overwrite

--> here range="0,0" must not be there unless the user enters values in the Processing form under "Advanced".

How to reproduce:

- test dataset (multilayer Landsat-7): lsat7_2000.tif attached (2MB)
- open dataset
- open r.series dialog from Processing
- select lsat7_2000.tif
- click "run" (default is "average" method which is fine to demonstrate the problem)

I tried to fix that but probably QgsProcessingParameterRange() is somehow broken or wrongly used in Processing?

It is likely that the suboptimal use of QgsProcessingParameterRange() affects also other GRASS GIS modules present in Processing.
QGIS Application - Bug report #20703 (Open): qgis 3.4.2 crashes on Windows 8.1https://issues.qgis.org/issues/207032018-12-03T12:42:27ZGiuliano Urgeghegiuliano.u@gmail.com

Steps:

1. load an already geo-referenced map
2. open the georeferencer and load the map to be georeferenced and choose/set some GCP points
3. save the file with the points
4. choose the transformation settings and select "Load in QGIS when done".
5. press "Start georeferencing", result map is loaded. Keep the georeferencer dialog open

Up to this point everything goes smoothly, as always, up to version 2.18.25 included

7. add some new GCPs or modify existing ones
8. set the transformation settings with the option "Load in QGIS when done" NOT active, set the output name the same as the previous georeferencing operation, effectively overwriting the previous output
9. press "Start georeferencing".

At this point in QGIS 2.18 using "Refresh (F5)" will effectively show the result of the second georeferencing operation while in QGIS 3 it continues to show the first result.

The precision option in the select/join by location tools has been removed in qgis 3. Will it return in the near future?

I understood this to be due to a bug in the option according to a comment on stackexchange https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/268992/join-attributes-by-location-precision. My experience was at least that when using the option, exact intersects (difference of 0) where excluded from the results and only the not exact intersects but within the set precision where included
( 0 < distance <= precision).

The option is however essential for selecting and joining by location as geometries often don't exactly intersect. This can be due to different reasons like transferring data between different programs with different precisions (8 vs 10 decimals for instance), not snapped drawings and processing data.

Missing this option requires timeconsuming workarounds, like switching between arcgis (where it is possible) and qgis or snapping features before being able to use select/join by location (this is often not a preferred option).

Unfortynately, I cannot offer an idea for the solution. I hope to see the option returing soon.

A seen on the picture, 'item_id' is a variable. That would be very useful to recall another item's position variable (x,y, width, height). This way , in the situation seen on the picture, in the case of two or more attribute tables they could be automatically placed with a query in their position field.
QGIS Application - Feature request #17768 (Open): make use of label placement settings even when ...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/177682018-01-02T02:09:44ZKepes Ádámkepesadam88@gmail.com

Data defined placement by expression only defines anchor point. That time normal label placement setting are not used by qgis. Based on that coordinate, added label placement setting would be very-very useful. For example I define with expression to place label at coordinates at the end of the line, but i would still want qgis to auto find a more optimized place for that label from 2 mm-s from that point.
QGIS Application - Bug report #17672 (Open): ssl error: certificate validate failed with postgis ...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/176722017-12-11T16:40:00ZFrédéric CLOITREfrederic.cloitre@lpo.fr

Hi,

This morning, I updated my computer which updated my version 2.18.14 of QGIS to version 2.18.15.
Since this update, I can no longer connect to a PostGIS database that requires the ssl (sslmode = require) mode.

Error message is:
ssl error: certificate validate failed
.

I tried with a downgrade to previous ltr (2.14.11) and it works.

Any idea?

For Windows 10 I tried for both the OSGeo4W install and the direct install. I tried it also with QGIS 2.16.x and 2.14.x for both the OS. In Linux Mint I apt-get autoremoved/autocleaned always after.
In Windows 10, if I install GRASS 7.2.2 separately and run the tool from it, it works well. I tried to reconnect QGIS with the separate GRASS install, but it does the same error again.

At some point the ability to manage keys for a user vanished. So new users can't upload their ssh key and existing users can't modify theirs. This mean new plugin authors can't store their code on hub, which has been requested. http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/uploading-plugin-files-to-hub-qgis-org-td5107396.html

One of the most common tasks a user can do in a raster workflow is to reclassify raster maps.

At this stage the raster calculator does not support conditional statements, so it is not possible to say (for example):

(ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1<=30)=1 OR (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1>30)=2 OR (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1>200)=5

the workaround is awful

(ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1<=30)*1 + (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1>30)*2 + (ASTGTM2_N37W026_dem@1>200)*3

as the raster calc just return 1 or 0, so the user must multiply for the needed value doing also a few sums along the way (because it is not possible to use conditions).
