If I move or delete files used by a QGIS project & then reopen the project, the splash screen does not go away until after I have closed the 'handle bad layers' dialog window. The splash screen remains on top & is rather annoying to work around.

QGIS Application - Bug report #19120 (Open): Saved default style in spatialite file not available...

Related to #11944.

Trying to save and load a default style saved in a spatialite file. The default styles are not loaded in the spatialite file after reloading.

1. In this example spatialite file, there are three layers, one each as point, linear, and polygon. Each layer style is saved similarly.

2. Using the drop-down dialogs at the bottom of the "Layer Properties - Symbology" window: "Style --> Save Style --> Save in Database (spatialite) -->"

3. In the dialog window that pops up titled "Save Style in Database" give it a filename aka "point", skip the description, and check the checkbox for "Use as default style for this layer."

4. Start a new project. After loading the layers from the spatialite file, none of the saved default styles are applied.

5. Furthermore, when attempting to load a style from the "Database Styles Manager" under "Other styles on (sic) the database" while the two default styles for the other feature types are listed, the style for the current one is not. (It should probably read "Other styles WITHIN the database")

6. This is repeatable for each layer of different feature type in the "Database Styles Manager": The default style for the layer in question is not present but the other default styles for the different feature types are. However, none of the features open with their default styles loaded.

QGIS Application - Bug report #18918 (Open): Improve CMake error messages when libraries are miss...

twatzl@gmx.at

Hello,

I am just building QGIS from scratch and noticed that while some libraries are included in the cmake files using FIND_LIBRARY, others are not. When those libraries are missing, the only error one gets is something like:

CMake Error: The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
Please set them or make sure they are set and tested correctly in the CMake files:
PROJ_INCLUDE_DIR

I have noticed this is the case for the following libraries:
- spatialite
- spatialindex
- qwt
- qtkeychain
- qscintilla
- proj

I would expect to get something like library xy not found.
This would make it easier to build the project. I thought at first that I misconfigured something until I found out it were the libraries missing.

I hope I could help you with my feedback.

Kind regards

QGIS Application - Bug report #18867 (Open): Georeferencer incorrectly shows last image when reop...

Steps to reproduce:

Open Georeferencer

Open raster .tif image

Add some GCP points

In the options, choose Thin Plate Spline transformation and select an output destination

Click Start and when finished close Georeferencer

When asked, click Yes to save points in a file

Open again Georeferencer

The last image appears to be open, but with no control points

Click Start, it says there is no raster loaded

What happens:

When reopened, Georeferencer appears to remember the last image that was opened and displays it. However it doesn't remember GCP points and output destination. New control points can't be added. In order to Georeference it again, the image must be reopened.

What should happen:

Option 1: Close everything when Georeferencer is closed, reopen it empty like the first time it's opened

Option 2: Fully reopen image (not only displayed) and remember its GCP points and options

In the Processing toolbox, begin a search of alg: let's type "ce": you get filtered algs
Click the Options button and disable/enable a provider (let's say Grass) in the settings dialog
Close the Options dialog
In the toolbox, the algorithms frame will reset to its default status but the search box is still filled with the "ce" text.

I think that either the search is performed with/without the GRASS provider or either the search box is cleared.

This crash happened when I opened a .qgs project in a second instance of QGIS 3.0.

This report is supplied for your information and there is no need to follow up with me, unless you need any further information. In that case please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you.

In the QGis data source browser tree I can easily see and add tables to the current project. In the context menu is the option "Add Selected Layer(s) to Canvas". There is also a entry "Delete Table" which only deletes one table regardless how many tables are actually selected.

I assumed I can also delete multiple tables in one go, but only the table with the name I clicked on gets deleted.

I'm unsure if this qualifies as bug, but the behavior is not consistent in my opinion. I would expect all selected items are used for the action I can pick from the context menu.

Within the QGis DB Manager I can't do a multi selection, so that is more consistent to me.

QGIS Application - Bug report #18225 (Open): Python console text size bug

When you select the cursor in the Python console and press Ctrl -> - , the text size shrinks. However, when you remain in the console and click Ctrl -> +, the text size does not get bigger, but it does zoom the map. I think the only way to reset the size is to restart QGIS.
Bit of a minor issue as it can be worked around, but annoying nonetheless

Enable atlas generation in a print composer
set any options you want and erase the output filename expression.
While launching atlas export to something else than pdf single file, you get the error warning message The filename pattern is empty. A default one will be used.
If you click ok, the files are exported with the default expression but once all is finished, the filename text box remains empty. But it's not really empty beacause if you launch again the export, it'll be proceeded without warning message.

It'd be nice to fill the filename textbox with the default expression used when user click OK in the message box.

QGIS Application - Bug report #12398 (Open): Wrong sort order in symbol sharing

Paolo Cavallini
cavallini@faunalia.it
When exporting or importing symbols from the Style manager, symbols are sorted according to type (lines, pints etc.). The order is however wrong:

points and fills are mixed up

points should go before lines

custom (user created) lines go mixed among points and fills
