For an attribute with a Postgis data type of numeric(9.3) the range edit widgets suggests ridiculously large minimum and maximum values:

We have discovered, that when you close down QGIS, it automatically asks you, if you want to save the project you are working on. But it does not save any changes you might have made in the shape files contained in the project.
It would be nice, if you where asked both when you closed down projects and QGIS, if you would like to save changes in shapefiles too.
QGIS Application - Bug report #12543 (Reopened): layer style effects not compatible with inverted...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/125432015-04-09T23:21:51ZRegis Haubourgregis.haubourg@oslandia.com

Hi,
just tested wonderfull live layer effects, and that reveals not taking into account inverted polygon renderer.
Polygons are rendered just as normal polygon renderer.

We use it a lot to generate masking layers effects (see mask plugin).

I ask or suggest similar possibilities integrated in editing mode (something is in some plugin but i suggest to have as core functions in editing) listing per each kind of vector my suggestion :

Point : a) Change position giving simple coordinates x y (z?)

Line : a) If I change the length in attribute table and I save , interactively it should change measure starting from final vertex.
b) Possibility to change the line length giving the value (metri or other ....) plus or minus to update immediately the
line
measure (i have not found today this possibility ..sorry)
c) Rotation of object choosing the vertex to use as center of rotation.(not only the center of line)

Poligon a) Possibility to know a table of segments with Possibility to change the line length of a segment giving the value
(metri or other ....) plus or minus to update immediately the line segment.
b) Rotation of object choosing the vertex to use as center of rotation.(not only the centroid of poligon)
c) Interactive dimension of poligon giving the % of increase or decrease.

Sorry if there are some work-around in some plugin that i have not found.

Many Thanks
Faithful.

Current 'make uninstall' rule requires a full build and install in order to work. It'd be useful if you could uninstall w/out building or installing first, in case you cleaned your build tree after installing...
QGIS Application - Feature request #3629 (Feedback): Double-click zoomhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/36292011-03-16T09:30:28Zandskog -andskog@foo.bar

Seems to me that the double click event is unassigned when in the map canvas. Would be nice to be able to zoom in a step on the cursor position by double-clicking in the map, regardless of active tool (pan, info etc.).
QGIS Application - Feature request #3483 (Feedback): Unified topological editinghttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/34832011-02-11T05:12:07ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

Currently QGIS has two different methods for editing:
- one (optionally) pseudotopological, to be used with SimpleFeature layers (shp, postgis, spatialite etc.)
- one fully topological, limited to GRASS layers.
IMHO it would be good to unify the two, digitizing always (optionally?) with full topology, and writing (a)topologically when on a topological format (in future also e.g. GML3-topo, PostGIS-topo), (b) non topologically when on SF.
This would be both more powerful and clean, and less confusing for users.
See also http://grass.osgeo.org/grass64/manuals/html64_user/wxGUI.Vector_Digitizer.html
http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/WxGUI_Vector_Digitizer for missing (topological) features.
QGIS Application - Feature request #3068 (Feedback): Projection information – some handbook or mo...https://issues.qgis.org/issues/30682010-09-30T03:38:32ZJhelebrant -Jhelebrant@foo.bar

Hi,
I had a small problem related with projection. I knew, that I should convert my data in WGS84 to S-42 (Pulkovo 1942) for some reason (use with some exotic software) but in QGIS I found a lot of "Pulkovo" projection and did not know which one to use for my area (Czech Republic). I did not have any internet connection available but luckily remembered, that in Kosmo I saw some info about area used for particular projections and later found there which "Pulkovo" is determined for Czech Republic. So this takes me to the idea, that it would be nice to have similar info also in QGIS (could be solved as "bubble" help) or if there is any document or app where is possible to find this information.

The possibility to list projections used for selected area would be also nice, but I cannot have everything I want :-)

What do you think?

PS: as an inspiration I attached two screenshots of Kosmo layer projection dialog where you can see additional information for each projection.
QGIS Application - Feature request #2576 (Feedback): reference to dtd wronghttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/25762010-03-21T09:46:46ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

In GRASS modules, there is a reference to a dtd:

but the URL is non existing. This should be replaced with a valid one.
QGIS Application - Feature request #2570 (Feedback): GRASS notice on top of the shellhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/25702010-03-20T09:37:59ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

When opening the GRASS shell within QGIS, the user is no longer noticed that (s)he is actually in a grass shell, as it used to be. It might be better to have it back (or to define a prompt of the form "grass>").
QGIS Application - Bug report #1893 (Reopened): opening data tables widens the main windowhttps://issues.qgis.org/issues/18932009-08-25T05:20:54ZPaolo Cavallinicavallini@faunalia.it

When opening >=3 tables while in docked mode, the main window becomes very wide, instead of shrinking the space allocated to each table
